The Project consists of eight principal structural elements:

1. Electronic purchase of haulage services;
2. Delivery of goods by road;
3. Electronic preparation of transportation and other accompanying documentation;
4. Simplification of customs formalities;
5. Interactive tracking information;
6. Tenders amongst haulage companies for the right to use shipping routes;
7. Formation and use of an electronic database of shipments undertaken and in process ("the electronic transportation schedule");
8. Range of additional and ancillary services.
